High Timber Fellowship

High Timber Fellowship celebrates love of life, respect for all people, and a gentle care for animals. We serve our community with open hands and open hearts, choosing spirituality over doctrine—walking humbly, doing good, and honoring the spark of dignity in everyone.
We are located high in the mountains of Southern California, Big Bear Lake to be exact. Our fellowship is just getting started. We look forward to you following our community.

About me

I’m a Big Bear local, an ordained non-denominational minister, and your friendly “frontier wisdom” wedding gent. My style is warm, calm, and a lot old-west — think classic frock coat, Stetson, cowboy boots, a steady voice and warm smile for your vows. I serve couples of all backgrounds with respect and joy. What I bring
-Heartfelt, inclusive ceremonies that fit you, not a script.
-Guidance start-to-finish: timelines, procession order, mic tips, license steps.
-Old West classy vibe: western polish with old world charm.

Frontier Wisdom

On Tying the Knot
A good knot holds because it’s simple, strong, and made with intention — just like your vows.

“On the frontier of a good marriage, you pack light with grudges, travel heavy with grace, and circle the wagons for each other—every sunrise, no matter the weather.”

FAQs

Are you non-denominational?
Yes. I serve couples of all faiths and none. Your ceremony can be spiritual, traditional, or purely civil.
Will you wear western attire?
Gladly. I keep it formal and respectful — black Stetson, classic frock coat, white/ivory puff tie, white/ivory vest, black pants, Stetson Cowboy boots. I can also wear a preacher's collar and white stole, if you prefer a more traditional look
Can we write our own vows?
Absolutely. I can provide templates and timing tips.
Do you travel?
Yes. Big Bear is home base; I travel by quote for mountain and High Desert venues.
Do you attend rehearsals?
I can. Many couples use my DIY rehearsal guide; in-person attendance is an add-on.
What about the marriage license?
You obtain it from the county clerk; I’ll guide you on timing and bring signing materials the day of.
What if we need to reschedule?
If I’m available, we’ll move you. See the policy below for details.

Dad Jokes Section

My hotel tried to charge me ten dollars extra for air conditioning.
That wasn’t cool.
